Do Gay men really feel the need to conform to stereotype
What stereotypes would that be?
Not all gays are feminine
Not all gays sleep around
Not all gays go to the gym for three hours a day and have great muscles.
What stereotypes are you referring to?
Kimmie - whilst you do name some of the stereotypes. I am talking about the wider picture as well. For example, people have this impression that all gay men are sensitive, wealthy (as what else do they have to spend their money on?) and in self grooming products. So really it is not about specific stereotypes but actual behaviour. Do you start doing something and think "I'm starting to become a stereotype?" Is this a concious or sub-concious thing? Why do we do it? To fit in?
