The road to nowhere is paved with good intentions.

A:

Great discussion. Thanks for inviting me DBLady. Smile

This situation hits me as just another example of satans control over our minds in this Spiritual War, his favorite thing is to creep into the church and twist God's Words, he is so good at that.. and we are blind. Demons are laughing at us, and laughing at God when they get away with these things. But still they panic and are scrambling around with this sort of thing because their time is running out!

Have any of you read the Lost Books of the Bible? The Books that were left out? You have to find them! satan is so small. he is completely terrified of God. It's actually kind of funny.

The Demons my be laughing at God and Us. But, Their not getting away with it. God see's everything. God is just holding back now, they aren't getting away with sin. Because every sin will be accounted for.   You cannot make a fool of God! God will cast fire upon earth. And, pour out his wrath, his anger will overtake. He will punish those who do not know him. The Lord is coming. Are you ready. Bless you, Good luck.

AShoofly:  I like "bless you" much more than "good luck."  I, for one, don't believe in luck.  There is no such thing.  Neither is there any Lady Luck.

Yes, the are the immutable laws of mathematics, theories of probability, and permutations and combinations.  There is also what is commonly referred to as coincidence, which means the unexplained congruence of two dissimilar events.  Notice that I said congruence, not correlation.  To believe in correlation is to leave yourself open to the foolish false belief in luck.

I usually say God bless you.  Sometimes I say, and I say this to you now:  May our good Lord bless you and your whole family, abuntantly and always.  AMEN.

BTW, I don't EVER knock on wood, either.  To knock on wood is to spiritually summon up the demon of wood to help you with your problem or circumstance, instead of depending on God or his holy Word.

Mr. W, I guess that's the Irish part of me. Just a personal trade mark. Not a belief system. Don't take it so personal. Bless you

Thank you both for the thumbs up! Thumbs up to you too! The Holy Spirit is here and is alive!

I want to say one thing about your knock-on-wood comment, MrWebster. Most of those.. what we now call (superstitious sayings) actually evolved from the Bible believe it or not! I don't know about "good luck"..that does sound pretty Irish to me, AShoofly! LOL!  But the term "Knock on wood" originally meant to knock on the Cross of Jesus. Isn't satan tricky.  So many things of God the demons steal away with their own little tacky twist.

God bless you both.

Asha:  You're absolutely right, satan is very tricky.  It doesn't make a darn bit of difference what the origins of the superstitious practice of knocking on wood were.  It's a moot point now.  Believe me, when people go through the "ritual" of knocking on wood today, they aren't at all thinking about Jesus.

Interesting Asha ...

Everything that's occurring today is playing into the hands of Satan.  God will be testing everyone of us.

Christmas is upon us, and again the Secular and Liberal Progressive Cults will be doing their best to insult Christ and Christians.  I think it's time "WE" say, "that's enough."  I say it's time to present our Faith even more than ever before.

Celebrate Christmas like never before ... Make the Nativity Scene the number one selling item this year.  Give Bibles as gifts this year.  Shop at your local Christian Book Store.  Let's show a "surge" in Christian Merchandise this season.  Elevate Christian Music Artists ... Switchfoot ... Skillet ... Toby Mac ...  Purchase Kirk Cameron's movie:   Fire Proof

It's time "WE" support Christians Artists like these ... The Media cannot deny "Sales" ...

There's an Elderly Couple in my neighborhood that opens their "yard" to the residents.  They perform a Live Nativity Scenne on their property with members from their church.  You actually walk throught their yard.  It's wonderful.

Think about it ... Gays are in your face making their demands.  Muslims are in your face making their demands.  Atheists are in your face making their demands.  I think it's time that Christians stand up and make their demands known.  If we continue to be pacifists, we will get run over by their hatred.

In Christ,

I agree with you Capt Conservative! And it's fun standing up for what you believe in, especially among the doubters. Plus, don't you agree, it would be a great oppertunity for all of us to strengthen our Faith. I learn so much from other Christians as I hope they do from me too.

It's just so important to keep a cool head about everything.. and to keep reminding ourselves "What would Jesus do"?  I've gotten myself in the middle of a few over-heated conversations pertaining to the Bible of all things, and I won't let that happen again. It actually made me feel bad, and that's not what the Word of the Lord is about. What's that old saying?.. "Cooler heads always prevail". That will be my motto. Peace that pasts understanding, and joy unthinkable and full of glory!

It's nice to see you Captain!  Smile
