Gonna leave this old world one day soon and fly away Home!Wink

A:

AP, That is exactly why Christ told us to "go and tell all the nations."  When they are told what is right according to God's word, it provides them with the information to make the choice.  It is when they don't choose to follow Christ and repent of their sins that they condemn themselves to eternity in Hell.  That old silly theory of your reality isn't my reality is just that -- silly.  Just because one person's "reality" says the moon is made of cheese, doesn't make it made of cheese.  Real is real, and God's word has proven true every time.  Man's "theories" have not.  Hell is real, Heaven is real, Satan is real, Jesus is Christ; He is the Messiah, and if you don't believe it, just hide and watch.  He's going to call the Christians home, and soon.  I would like to see as many former gays there, former murderers, former abortionists, former adulterers, as there are angels.  More even than that.  It is my duty as a Christian to try and reach as many people as I can before I am called home, and tell them about Jesus Christ so that they have the opportunity to choose.  And there are as many people here in the United States who either have not heard at all, or have heard and have not made a solid choice to trust in and follow Christ as there are in third world countries.  If they have heard and not made a choice, it is my duty as a follower of Jesus Christ, to tell them about Him, remind them about Him, and fervently urge them to make that choice, and to let it be Christ.

Christ failed to provide the word. The Chinese did not hear of Christ for hundreds of years after his alleged existence and execution. Australia and other areas of this planet still have not even heard of the guy. Only about a third of the world report that they are Christians. God fails to provide fair notice of his existence and his Will that would end all the controversy and wars. Christ was a philosopher that impressed me almost as much as Socrates. Both died rather than give up his principles. God had an epiphany when crucified. He had been the first agnostic: "Father, why hath thou forsaken me."

Why should I care if some gay couple wants to get married? Perhaps religious folks object because they are generally narrow, intolerant and exclusivists. I think the bible is a work of fiction. Nevertheless, I do even recall Christ saying anything against gays and abortion. I know the bible does advocate killing children. I will give you the citations if you will promise to renounce the bible and your faith if you find my words to be true. The Bible also advocates mass murder of non-Christians. The Crusaders implemented that portion of the Bible in Christ's name.

Physicalist, I reiterate my response to you in the blog concerning the question of Christ to God the Father while on the cross, "My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken me?"

I've always heard that one cannot reason with unreasonable people.  You refuse to believe, therefore, there is nothing more I can say except that I will pray for you and ask that God bless you, in Christ's name.

Well, here you are!  Couldn't find you for the longest time Physicalist!

You keep saying that Jesus, because he was quoting scripture, became agnostic.  You've said it many times and it simply is not true.

Jesus (the factual one or the fictional character) was quoting scripture from the Psalms.  As a boy, he was raised on that scripture as were all the Jews of his day.  The quoting of that verse says nothing more than the fact that he was drawing near to his death and quoting a well known piece which he had memorized.
