Garlic and liver

does eating fresh garlic can be detrimental to someone whose has some degree of liver impairement. In other words can it be more harmful in this case.

As far as I know, the opposite is true. Garlic is good for liver problems, as it contains both selenium and methionine which are good for detoxification.

I have met  such question in our forum. I remember fresh garlic is not good for patients with liver disease. Maybe you can search on that.

Having done some research into herbs, garlic is also an antibiotic, so that any infection, that a person might have will create problems for the liver, which must clean out the toxins produced.

 

That is why many herbal antibiotics are good for the liver, as is fiber, which cleans out the intestinal system of infections and or toxins.

 

 A diseased liver, (the liver also secretes enzymes for digestion), a diseased liver will or may result in problems with digestion, that can lead to over eating, because the body does not process food properly, leading to fat build up, high blood pressure, and ultimately heart disease. Garlic and other similar herbs are very important.

 Also the best herbs to help the LIVER are Milk Thistle and Dandelions, either the green salad or the root.
