Garlic and Blood Pressure

I just found out I have high blood pressure, 140/90, and I really don't want to take a drug for it. Several friends have told me about garlic, but no one seems to know, how much is taken, cooked or raw, any info is helpful. Even a web site will do. Thanxs m
