disposal makes a wierd sound, turns a few times and stops, then motor humms. I hit reset button, and turn the bottom of disposal with allen wrench works for a minute and stops again???

Sounds like it's dying. You could try replacing the brushes in the motor, but it might be easier and cheaper to replace it. It's a simple replacement job, and disposals aren't too expensive for an appliance.
