Ganges River Dolphin Bangaladesh Beat to Death

Fishermen in Bangladesh beat a dolphin to death because they did not recognize this type of fish. The dolphin lived in the Ganges river.

I thought the Ganges was polluted and that nothing lived there. Are there many dolphins there? Would they suffer a similar fate?

I think people aren't supposed to drink the water, because there used to be dead people in it. But there are dolphins there, and they're rare.
