Protein supplements are not a absolute must to build muscle. You can get all the protein you need in food like eggs, meat, fish and milk. Just try to consume at least 1 gram per pound of bodyweight. Try to eat enough calories comming from good quality food like oatmeal, veggies, sweet potatoes, fruits. Shoot for 17 times your bodyweight for the amount of calories you need daily.
Also, don't forget to train very hard and intense. Short workout of 45 minutes 3 time a week. Finally get al least 8 hours of sleep every night with a nap in the afternoon if you can.
