Jesus and me love ya !!!

A:

God always answers prayer but in His time, not always when we think He should...Sometimes there are many factors in answering that prayer...I will give you an example in my case...I prayed for my dads salvation from the time I was first saved when I was 25 until his death when I was 40...15 years I believed that my dad would be saved before he died, and he was a few days before he went to be with the Lord...God had many things in my dad's life to work out before my dad would listen to the call of the Holy Spirit and be saved...I love the Word in (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you)...After you have talked with the Lord about what you are praying for, then praise Him for His answer to it...Everytime that comes to your mind, thank Him that He has answered you in Jesus name...God bless you !!!

Beautiful answer Carol.  I try to keep the words "pray without ceasing"in mind each day.  There is more opportunity to praise the Lord each day than not (in my opinion.)   Just a quiet "thank you" over and over all day long as you realize how beautifully you are blessed.  njoy

thank you!

at one point in my life i was really really thankful because i prayed for things and i did get them. After a while i don't know what happened. I think i lost touch with God, but now, i should thank him for everything which i do everyday when i remember, but you reminded me to be more than thankful and i wanted to tell you thanks for letting me know!

gurrizle, how sweet of you to respond to one of my comments and in such a positive way.  That is most refreshing.

One thing that helps me in the prayer department is:  I ask only one thing:  "Lord, Help me to be a blessing to those whose lives I touch."    There is no material thing that I ever ask for for myself or for others.  I believe the verse that says: Consider the lillies of the field....my needs are met with great abundance and I am truly thankful.
