Denise,
The cable in question can be purchased at any camera shop that sells digital cameras. It is a standard cable that connects to a USB port on your computer. Just take your camera to the shop and just ask for the appropriate cable. Check that is the right cable by connecting it to your camera. The other end of the cable should be a USB connector that is standard to any modern PC.
A second method to load pictures from the camera to your PC is to remove the card from your digital camera and insert it in a SanDisk Micromate. This small device also has a USB connector which you can plug into your computer (provided it has a USB port). This is very convenient as you can keep the device attached to your computer and just insert your card from the camera and it will load the pictures automatically. Again these are standard and are often sold together with the camera card such as the SanDisk Ultra !! SDHC Card.8GB). Again ask at the camera shop as there are different cards from 250 MB to 32 GB cards.
I hope this answers your question.
