Frontline Dosage for Dogs

Is it ok to reduce the amount of Frontline Top Spot on your dog, if the dog reacted to it before? I used 1 vile per dog before and it said up to 22 pounds, safe for puppies also. My Dogs went kind of crazy and I had to bathe them right away. This time I took 2 viles for up to 22 pounds each or 44 pounds and divided them up between all my dogs (80 pounds total). I used the drops per pound of weight. Is this ok? They seem to be biting at the fleas already so it must be working.

If they're biting at fleas - then its NOT working.  Call your vet.  There are other products besides frontline - some dogs are allergic to it.  I had 2 friends this summer who were so obsessed when their animals got fleas, they over medicated.  Both animals died.  Ask your vet for an alternative to frontline, or ask more about dosaging.

Switch to Comfortis.  It's a chewable tablet, and it works AWESOME.  The only thing is it doesn't do anything about ticks.
