If the Pen is Mightier than the Sword.... How Lethal is an E-Mail ?

French Journalist Iraqi Bronx

I remember some years back a story in a Newspaper. It was of a french journalist who befriended some Black US soldiers in Iraq and decided to cover their lives. They signed up to get away from the violence back home. And he followed them back home to the US and cover their lives in their black neighbourhood. When one of the Soldiers gets shot dead by a nbeighbourhood gang, the Journalist decides to call it a day as he felt responsible for his death.

I cannot remember the Journalists name. Does anyone Know if the documentary ever got finished and televised? Or does any of this Ring a Bell?
