My outside faucet leaks. It is a freeze-proof faucet and is leaking from the freeze-proof valve, not the faucet itself. Seems to me there should be a repair kit available but I've been to Tru-Value, Lowe's, Home Depot, and a local plumber and all they do is scratch their heads. They all say I should just replace the entire faucet. Why spend $40-$50 for a $5 fix?Help!
I found a marking on the faucet --- B&K. I looked it up and they have a website that gave me their toll free phone number. I called them and they are kind enough to send me the repair kit as a courtesy. The customer service rep said that they couldn't sell me one since they don't sell to an end customer. I haven't received it yet but it's only been 3 working days so I'm not worried.....yet. Hopefully, it will be the right part and hopefully, it's just "plug and play".
