Yes, I spent hours searching for free maid of honor speeches on the internet - unfortunately most of the wedding toasts I found were either copies or very similar the previous ones I found!
They lacked originality, and substance and I wasn't able to adapt any to suit my own circumstances. I did find one or two good jokes, but that was about it.
Anyway, remember, these were only my experiences, you might have better luck!
Luckily I did find something worthwhile during my searches - Dan Steven's maid of honor toasts . There was a small fee when I used them (perhaps 19 dollars, might be more now?) which I gladly paid. I briefly investigated which maid of honor toast would best suit my personal style, circumstances and of course the audience.
I'm not embarassed to say that I copied most of the speech (ahem), I added a couple of the free jokes (I had one or 2 personal jokes already in ammunition) and also added some personal facts that the bride and groom could relate to.
The whole process was very fast, I had the speech prepared within 40 minutes, but more importantly it was original, funny and sincere.
Due to the fact that I was given a base to work from, adding my personal stories was fun rather than a task - trying to structure the whole thing.
For the time it took and the peace of mind, I would gladly do it that way again.
I didn't memorize the speech, I kept the main points on some cards (which are better than paper - shaky paper is a dead give away for nerves)
The guests laughed a lot, I was told the speech came across as very professional, and many people, including my family (who know how shy I can be) were quite surprised.
With regards to the nerves , I used their "Audio confidence booster" which came free with the speeches; and as I mentioned before, I also material from the joke book that was also included.
I wish you all the best and I hope I have helped you a little in your search for free maid of honor toasts.
