Depends where the divorce occurred. Most states have an online vital records site. Some states give access to info about when the divorce was filed, but not the actual date of the final divorce decree. I had a similar problem with researching my parents divorce. I wrote to the registry of records ( It cost me $10 to $15) It might be faster through a pay website.
