Free cell phone trace?

Sorry Francis, there is no  "free cell phone trace" , Ill tell you why:
 
The large cellular companies guard the info and only relinquish it for a fee, unless of course you have a warrant or an FBI badge ...

The online cell number trace sites who charge a fee have actually bought the info from the cell companies and then created their own cell phone directory. It's this convenience that we pay for.
 
I spent plenty time going through "Free cell phone trace " offers, inserting data, being directed to various pages only to be asked to pay for the full information at the end! rather annoying ...

After much trial and error I finally found Reverse cell phone trace . There is a fee of course, but they're professional, quick and have complete and up to date information !
 
Some final advice : If you decide to use a paid cell phone trace then do make certain there is an option to get a year membership with as many searches as you like. You can also erase your own personal info from public data sources if you like.

Yes, unfortunately Matt is correct, there is no way to perform a free cell phone trace.
And whitepages will only search land lines.

Can a Cell Phone company trace a cell phone if someone calls it - to locate the cell phone?

I think they can do this when the phone is on, but what about if the Battery is Dead or if the cell Phone is off -  can the cell phone company trace where my cell phone might be?

Well, there are such things as reverse cell phone look up sites, but not free. It takes many hours to compile a reverse cell number directory. I would also be incredibly wary of a site that would give you any information for free because who knows how legit that information would be?

No such thing as a free cell phone trace service. There are some providers that will give you the number of a subscriber - if you are part of their network. You need to check with your provider to see if they offer that service.
