Free Webmail

I am looking for a free e-mail provider that offers access via POP3(or however) and will work with Outlook 2003.


Those are the only requirements.

 

If anyone knows how to get Gmail working with Outlook 2003 that would work as well(the guide on their site didn't work)

what exactly didn't work with gmail?

they offer a pop3 access that should work (and does work for me) on thunderbird and i can even test it on outlook 2003 if need be.

i am guessing that you turned on the pop3 support inside gmail settings, right?

as for other options, check yahoo.uk mail service. last time i checked, they still offered pop3 access, without paying (unlike yahoo.com).

The problem with outlook was when I went to send messages not receive them, and yes I enabled it in Gmail.

 

I would prefer not to use yahoo.uk just because it's my dad's email and its the kind of thing that he would forget.

did u get some sort of error msg from outlook when u tried 2 send a msg through the gmail account? did the msg got sent and bounced back to u (2 the inbox)?

as for the instruction from setting gmail in outlook 2003, it is very important to do everything they say from stage 7 till the end. have you doubled checked the settings? did the problem accoured when u tried to test the settings (stage 12)?
