Foreign Currency To Invest In

Is this a good time to invest in a very weak currency like the the Iraqi dinar? I am looking for some foreing currency to invest in. Got any ideas?

That depends on whether you think it'll go up in value. I personally don't think the Iraqi Dinar is going anywhere and therefor I wouldn't invest in it.

It's a really risky business.

Short or long?  Either way, I think you will not see significant gains either way.  In the short run, the currency is not seen as stable.  In the long run, the currency, even if it seems stable will experience high amounts of inflation or stagflation for a quite a lengthy period.  The lessons of Europe after WW2  demonstrate this quite well.

So you can not really call it a good investment whether you are going short or long, or using the strategy of buylow/sellhigh or buystrength /sellweakness.

For the record, I do not own either deutschmarks or dinars.

What remains the same is that the above is just an opinion.

The very main question would be, why you think on investing on a weak currency if in the end you won't profit?

 I would suggest that if you would like to invest in currency trading, make sure you have the proper education and good tools for you to use to be profitable because it's a risky business..
