When is foreclosure property sold at auction consider sold?
At an auction people bid up the price until nobody wants to bid anymore. Then the auctioneer says "SOLD!". That is considered a binding verbal contract. The auction house must sell it to the buyer and the buyer must pay. However I'm not sure if there is a closing just like in other real estate sales.
