Mat. 6:33 "Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God and All these things Shall Be Added to You!!!

Fool Me Once, Shame on U, Twice, SHAME ON ME!!!

Star Parker President Obama wants health care reform this year.He said at a town hall meeting the other day that he won't tolerate "endless delay" and that we probably won't reform health care if we don't do it this year.

Now why is that Mr. President? Will Congress be on vacation for the remaining three years of your term?

Consider that it's not unusual to take a full session of Congress -- two years -- to pass legislation a fraction of the size and consequence of health care reform. Yet our president is demanding that a bill to overhaul a $2.5 trillion sector of our economy -- one sixth of it -- be considered and passed in a few short weeks.

It ought to be clear that this is not about taking an honest and sincere look at how to make this a better country and how to do a better job at delivering health care to Americans. It's impossible to look at something this massive and deal with it in such a short time frame.

This is about raw politics. When Mr. Obama says that if we don't get "it" done this year we probably won't get "it" done, he doesn't mean reforming health care. He means reforming it the way he and Ted Kennedy want to do it. Government-run, nanny state health care.

To pull it off, they have to move fast.

First, the White House knows that Mr. Obama's honeymoon won't last forever. While his personal approval ratings remain high at 60 percent, his disapproval rating now at 33 percent is almost twice where is stood last February. And, in latest Gallup polling, the majority now disapprove of how Obama is handling government spending. So the White House wants action now on health care while their man is still popular.

Second, the White House knows that next year is an election year. It will be far more difficult to get senators and congressmen to play ball.

Third, they know that the big reason that Hillary Care failed in 1993 was that the American people were given an opportunity to look at it and consider it. They don't want to make the same mistake of giving voters a chance to actually understand what is about to happen to them. They know that the more Americans have an opportunity to take a look at the bureaucrat-run, nanny state health care freight train, the more likely they will jump of the track.

Breathlessness is a great political technique. Telling voters that the world will end if we don't get X passed now.

This is how the $800 billion dollar "stimulus" bill got passed earlier this year. We were flashed images of the Great Depression of the 1930s and told our only hope is the stimulus bill.

Now, three months later, it's clear that our current economy bears no resemblance to the 1930s, that signs of recovery are emerging, and thus far only six percent of the $800 billion "stimulus" pot of political lard has been spent.

The trillions in new debt have been piled up at such a dizzying pace in the last few months Americans are numb. The federal government take from our economy has jumped from one-fifth of it to one-fourth.

Now, Mr. Obama and his Democrat colleagues want to layer on a new government health care plan to "compete" with private plans. "Compete" means raising taxes a few trillion dollars to provide subsidized insurance, and in some cases, free insurance, through a government plan in which all Americans will eventually wind up -- and putting federal bureaucrats in charge of approving what health care procedures we are permitted.

The healthcare nanny state freight train is moving. Will we wake up before it's too late?

Are we going to allow Obummer & the Donkeycrats to "RAPE US AGAIN"???

Banking, Housing, Automotive, Employment & now Medical Sectors are being "Socialized" before our very Eyes. When will it STOP???

John

I am glad you are questioning this health care plan. I hope I am wrong but it  maybe too late and no one hopes more than myself that I am wrong. I have watched politics since the 1950s, and I believe people made a grave mistake this last election.

Anytime anyone wants something done right now and it just has to be done there is something wrong with the plan people are going to get burned.

I feel very strongly that this will be passed. The only way it can be corrected is the up coming elections and in the next Presidential election, then and only then maybe we can put people in office to undo all the wrong.

People do need to think about something though they need to think about not putting the same old people back in office.

This question is easily answered. It is because our President is a SOCIAL WORKER!

That is his only background! He has an agenda for social engineering! It is not about health care for all, it is about what he see as a social injustice! It is also about power for the liberal democratic party. They think the American people are to stupid to take care of themselves so the government has to save us. It is the same old story. Do you think that Hillary went to ER when she hurt her elbow last week and used the same health care system that we have the pleasure of enduring when we slip and fall?

As an RN I know how horrible the situation of the uninsured is .Some of you may not think it is a real problem but I watched for 27 years in Emergency Rooms of this great nation of ours.I am not talking about people who are lazy ,shiftless,or unwilling to work I am talking about Americans from every race creed and social status who find themselves uninsurable or with out it for one reason or another and wind up clogging the ER system because they cannot see doctors in their offices. So many wait till its too late to get proper care and are in a state of profound ill health. This impacts us all.If you are not moved from a humanitarian aspect by seeing your fellow Americans, some of whom have worked for 25,30 years of their lives in this situation then think of it from your own pocket book. When they cannot pay the ER bill it falls into the state ,or local government to pay the tab and thats you and me.A national health insurance bill which as I understand it will be a government subsidized but private insurance company that you pay into just as anyone does now from their employer.if you have insurance NOTHING CHANGES!! the government does not want to touch the people that have insurance!! This is to take care of those who DO NOT!! You will then be allowed to buy into a group benefit with lower premiums because the risk is spread out over a larger group of people.Right now it is hard for people to buy into it in small groups or as single people or as small employers.

Now It was hard enough watching this for years but then five years ago my dear sister became ill enough that she could no longer work full time and therefore lost her insurance premium. This ended up causing all her medical problems which were many to become worse as she could only seek medical attention sporadically. To make matters worse her own daughter also became very ill with pulmonary hypertension ,This was a girl who was an honor student and was going to be a doctor and had to change her direction to teaching math because of it.She no longer had the health to finish med school.Neither of them had health insurance for years until my niece got her job teaching school. Our whole family tried our best to pitch in but there is only so much middle class families can afford.

This last fall my sister became very weak but put off going to the doctor because she had no money.None of us knew about this as she lived a few hours from me.It turns out she had Leukemia and the delay cost her her life and she past away in November. This is a woman who had worked from the age of 14 until the day she died at the age of 60.For those of you who are not moved by this story I can only pray that it does not happen to someone in your family.

This week Rush Limbaugh had the gall to say he does not care what happens in the medical care crisis because he is so rich he can fly anywhere around the world and get the best medical care there is!! Well bully for him!!! Is this really what has become of this nations that we do not care about each other at all? We are not asking you to give up your own insurance and change how you see your doctor.Only make sure that others can see one too!!!

Moski I hate to tell you but all this is, is Federal Government Welfare Program and you will still be paying for it and why people like you and others want government to control everything and eventually take your rights away from you is not even comprehensible.
