Better reason I'm asking this is because I was looking for top sirloin and only found tip sirloin . I just settled with the ribeye because I was not sure if tip sirloin is the same as top.To the best anyone know whats the difference between these cuts and which one is better for grilling? thanks

OK, the rookie's back with more questions ! The local supermarket has sirloin tip roast on sale Sirloin tip don't need the high finish internal temps like brisket so you are on the right track . Pit temp in the 250 range will give you a nice even finish through out the roast. shoot for 130

Anyone smoke a whole boneless beef sirloin tip?

One of our local stores put whole boneless beef sirloin tip on sale,this week.Anyone smoke one basting sauce for sirloin roasts. i plan do use it tomorrow. i have all the ingredients and it sounds , and i plan to put the roast on a rack over a foil pan to catch the drippings from the roast
