Try contacting some of the local newspapers and or magazines. If they don't already have a food column than try to convince them why it could be a good addition to their publications and why you are the right person for the job. If they do already have one, than you just need to try to convince them why you would be a good addition to their team especially with your background in catering and food. Have your resume ready as well as a written piece so that they can actually see the quality of what you can write for them. I wish you all the luck. Let me know if it works out!
