You can try to get a job in a magazine that deals with food or perhaps a publisher that specializes in cook books. Basically you'll have to start somewhere and prove yourself along the way but I think that with your motivation you should be able to succeed.

Hi there, first I would recommend that you visit your local newspaper and place and ad there...I typed in the search link for "food editor jobs" and didn't find anything interesting...second, I would suggest you visit some local eating places and kinda do you own reviews, write down your notes and keep a list of your favorites...Then I would take it upon myself to write a review and post it in your local paper or online, from there you should be able to catch someones eye and grab yourself a job...This would be my approach to doing this, and sounds like alot of fun to do! Good Luck to you!

these are a few links I did find:

 www.mediabistro.com/food-editor-jobs.html

editors.familyfeatures.com/

ps...I will keep my eye out for any more links for you!

Try contacting some of the local newspapers and or magazines. If they don't already have a food column than try to convince them why it could be a good addition to their publications and why you are the right person for the job. If they do already have one, than you just need to try to convince them why you would be a good addition to their team especially with your background in catering and food. Have your resume ready as well as a written piece so that they can actually see the quality of what you can write for them. I wish you all the luck. Let me know if it works out!
