Personally, I don't buy into the "clean your house to spiritual enlightenment" theory, I feel like a lot of her advices are very general and treat all people like they have the same problems exactly and should solve their problems in the same way.
I think that it's a personal thing - there's a lot of self help guides out there and not everything is for everybody. To me it just feel like she's giving a way out of dealing with actual emotional problems by trying to fix the symptoms, trying to sort of push the problem into a close drawer and make the table top look all clean and nice for when the guests arrive.
I think that it also very much depend on what you are looking for - if it's a practical tip on how to get the bathroom clean then maybe you'll find something in there, but if it's real personal attempt to deal with your life - I'm sure there are better places.
She does have a fun sense of humor and her writing is pretty good, and I've heard from some people that they found her very helpful \ life changing - I don't think there is an objective answer about it, I just know it's not for me.
