Did the Uploadr work for you and stopped working?

Things to try:

  • Check your Proxy settings (the power switch in the Uploadr window)
  • Do you have an antivirus / personal firewall that's blocking port 8080?
  • If nothing else works, and you're running Windows XP, try the "Send to Flickr" tool (download it from the Flickr tools page, at the bottom), it seems to be a bit more reliable then the Uploadr.

The "Send to Flickr" link leads to a .reg registry file - it's not an installer. When you download and open it, it silently updates the registery.

Once you downloaded and opened the file, right click an image (e.g. JPG) file in the Windows Explorer, if all is well you should see "Send to Flickr".

Also, on the Windows Explorer bar (on the left hand), you should see a "Publish to Flickr" link.

Oops. My mistake. On the explorer bar it should say "Publish this file to the Web". When you click this link, you should see the Web Publishing Wizard. On step 3, choose "Flickr" from the service providers list.

Hmm... what do you have on your Explorer bar?

Perhaps you could post a screenshot of what you see there.
