Does anyone know if ONE of the explanatons for the term Flea Market came from the fact that merchandise was sold or bartered at the corner of Flea and Market Streets? I have read all the other explanations including "flea infested items" and the mispronounced French street name that changed the spelling and pronounciation to "flea."
