Extreme weight loss in short periods of time are composed almost entirely of water loss, not fat.  You see it happen after the first week of The Biggest Loser every season.  Unfortunately there are no shortcuts.  Fat loss comes from consistent exercise (both cardio and strength training) and a healthy low calorie diet.
