i really need a nyc based store selling fixie pedals through the web. anyone?
This is not a problem. Just buy a set of road pedals w/ toeclips and a straps. Wear will be a bit more than on a rod bike. I would ditch the radially spoked front wheelon a fixie though. This is the brake wheel and violent turns and radial spokes do not go together well.

the pic is just for illustration... actually the guy who's looking for the store is a friend... here's the fixie is setting up http://lunaparklife.tumblr.com/
any chance you know a specific shop in NY though?
I'm in Philly so I have to say, I do not know of any specific stores. Still, with the proliferation of clip-type pedals, the questioner might do better with an established bike store with a stock of "old" parts.
