When was the first time the term "Five Solas" used in regard to the religious beliefs of the Reformation?
Fist and foremost in the pages of scripture: To God alone belongs the Glory: 1 Chronicles 16:23-31;Romans 11:33-36. Christ alone: Acts 4:12; 1 Timothy 2:5-6. Scripture alone: Psalm 19:7 ; 2 Timothy 3:14-17. Faith alone : Romans 5:1-2; Ephesians 2:8-9. Grace alone: Titus 3:7; Romans 5:15. these are the 5 solas of the reformation and as you can see did not originate with men. nor were they they invention of the 15th century reformers.
