I have a 2 year old grandson; we do not have any experience with this toy.
But I agree with the old-school teachers and psychologists who believe that children learn best by doing - and that doing does not mean sitting in front of a keyboard or an electronic screen of any type.
I think parents are the greatest teaching tools there are. Read to your child. Sing and dance with your child. Cook with your child and play with your child.
Children who are read to on a regular (daily+) basis and who are spoken to as though they are capable of understanding adult words and concepts are far better off than children who are left to "learn" from some toy.
P.S. I wouldn't buy it. But if you must buy this toy, I believe Target Online currently has it on sale.
