What way can one easily find the unnecessary files in his computer and delete them?

Another vote for ccleaner, it is updated frequently and I haven't had any issues with it. It does a great job and cleaning up the registry and unneeded files. Faster than doing it by hand and safer.

I found that ToniArts Easy Cleaner had an easy to use interface which included 'Unnecessary Files' I got it from a speed up vista course on cnet.com.
