Finding large e-mails on Gmail

My Gmail account is 80% full, and I think I'll get to 100% soon. In other e-mail services I can sort e-mails by size (at least on Yahoo mail) and delete them, but on Gmail you don't even have the size column on the inbox.

Is there an easy way to find large e-mails on Gmail?

Sorry!

Gmail's web interface doesn't give us that option.

You can, however, enable POP and use an email client with your Gmail.  It will allow you to do the sorting just about any way you wish

What a friend of mine did, was simply to open a second gmail account, and forward the messaged from one to the other.

The result is that you have a second account for only incoming messages, and you can even make the 2nd account send emails through the first.

That way you don't have to delete any messages at all.

p.s. you can always delete outgoing messages, which are less important (usually)...

yoavdothan has given you the best answer.

But if you aren't willing to d/l the 2 GB and sort it afterwards, maybe there's another thing I can suggest - searching only in your "has attachment" emails.  This requires that you use Firefox and the Greasemonkey extension (VERY recommended!) and download this - http://persistent.info/archives/2005/03/01/gmail-searches
After that you can just delete all the biggest email attachments that you don't need.

Hope this somehow helps.
