Warm tea with lots of brandy, and 3 days in bed with the t.v. watching reruns of "Leave It To Beaver" and "Bonanza"......You will get better very fast!

Forget the Vicks, A little Creme De Mint works better.

The only foolish question is that which remains unasked.

Lots of sleep, and Lipton's instant noodle soup with broth, not the chicken pieces. The noodle soup works every time for my kids. next day, no cold.

2. Extra Sleep - Hopefully 2-3 extra hours to recuperate

3. Ny Quil - Noting tastier than the cherry flavored cold & flu medicine :)

4. Soup - Any kind of warm soup will do

Smile, it's contagious!

You must like John's lap.

I hope those were very small glasses of juice.  With cider besides!  Wow!

I guess there's more than one way of getting rid of a cold.  So do tell, was it in your intestines?  --- C1

I have used Vicks Vapor Rub my entire life, my parents & grandparents used it on me & I have used it on my own children & grandchildren. It is a great product, if used properly.

lots of liquids, chicken soup and plenty of bedrest. for a fever, believe this or not, a very old remedy that works.  tape slices of raw onion on bottom of feet and put on socks at night. the next morning the onion will have drawn the heat from the body, and literally cooked the onion.  no kidding, it works.

For children, Rub the Vicks on the chest , put on a tee shirt and extra pj's  if needed. Be sure to wash of the Vicks the next day....

Old remedy ... Ped's doesn't agree with me but always worked in the "old days".

I still tell my daughters to use this remedy on their own children... And guess what ????   It works !!!

(First...do no harm)

Hi,

No petroleum-based rubs for me...Isn't that something auto mechanics use to grease cars?...Did a study on that subject once and discovered that it is not compatible with the human body in any way...but can actually be toxic.

Anyway, here is what I do when I feel a cold coming on:

(1) Take a warm bath.

(2) Rub an essential oil blend called, "R.C." on my chest and back and diffuse it into the air...Ahhh, now I can breathe.

(3) Get out my "Thieves" essential oil blend and apply to my feet...and drop 1 drop into a mug of warm water for tea.

(4) For a cough, headache, and congestion I always carry "Thieves" hard lozenges.  If I happen to be in the vacinity of someone's sneeze, I take a lozenge right away because the essential oils in it help fight bacteria and support the immune system.

(5) Then I alternate ImmuneTune and Inner Defense which also contain very effective herbs and oils and check to be sure that I am taking my vitamins and minerals.

(6) Then I get some extra ZZZZs, drink plenty of purified water...at times with lemon juice to help balance my pH, and yes, I eat lots of chicken soup!  Yummmm.

(You can get more info about the items I mentioned at: http://KayAndTinaGraves.younglivingworld.com .

Be well!
