Growing Figs -- When my figs are about to rippen they seem to get soft and begin to shrivel and get spots or even moldy. They aren't quite ripe yet. The end isn't open. They taste like unrippened figs. What is going wrong? What can I do? Oh, they are green/yellow figs.
