The sad thing about home schooling is that there are certain areas where you lose a bit of quality in the education.  There are just some subjects, like history and math, where having a trained teacher really makes a big difference.  It’s also usually unreasonable to expect a parent to be an expert in all subjects.  There are some things that help supplement the experience.  For instance, I know you can go to http://www.fieldstoneacademy.org/virtual and they have live online classes to supplement homeschooling and stuff like that.  I’m sure if you look around there are others, that’s just one my friend took and he said it was pretty good.
