Feminist therapy

Feminist therapy emphasizes the importance of viewing an individual's experience through the lens of gender. Do you think that still makes sense, given all the changes in society that have led to both men and women gaining more oppurtunities and choices w/respect to education,jobs, political power,etc? why or why not?
