Arsenic and Old Lace.  This movie is very funny.  I love the insanity of all the characters, and the general story of old ladies hiding bodies in their basement and the nephew trying to keep the police and his girlfriend from finding out.  Cary Grant has always been one of my favorite actors (though I generally don't like pretty boys in movies), and all the other actors were excellent character actors.  I will never get the scenes of the bugle charges up the stairs, by the uncle who thinks he's Teddy Roosevelt, out of my memory.

Hi Profitbob,

I'll try to rent that movie.  I love classic movies because they don't have the bad language that the new movies are creating.

My favorite movie is THE LOVE STORY.

I also love Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart.  They were very good actors.  I wish we had actors that have their personality and acting prowess.

Talk is always never cheap

Hi Dogbreeder! Fun question. I love old classic movies too. I don't know if you ever cared for Marilyn Monroe, but I'd have to say she is one of my favorite Classical Actresses.  If I can only pick one favorite Movie, I'd have to say (The Seven Year Itch) with Marilyn Monroe and Tom Ewell.  Hilarious movie!  I just love Marilyn's sexy innocents, she is so sweet and funny, and Tom's struggle with himself because he so attracted to Marilyn, but knows he should stay faithful to his wife. The way his mind races about 'should he or shouldn't he', and niether him or Marilyn realizing what the heck is going on in eachothers head!  It's just so typical of most of us even to this day!  We're either dreaming, or delusional!  LOL !  That Movie is timeless!

1 John 4:8

The one who does not love does not know YHWH, for YHWH is love.

'You Can't Take It with You', starring Jean Arthur, Lionel Barrymore, James Stewart, Ann Miller and Spring Byington.  It's madcap fun at a breakneck pace, touching and an old classic (1938).

And speaking of Marilyn Monroe movies has anyone viewed 'Niagara'?  It's a touch out of the ordinary role for Marilyn but well acted.
