Your Favorite Live Concert?

What's your absolute favorite live concert?

I really enjoy live music, and being a huge Pink Floyd fan, Roger Water's "In The Flesh" DVDs is one of the most enjoyable shows I've seen, with great versions of many classics and amazing audio quality.

I can listen to it over and over!

What's yours?

And its too late to lose the weight you used to need to throw around....

Well now, if its live dvds I would have to go with U2 Elevation. That is just an awesome show, and it is delivered to video so well. But in terms of concerts I've seen, hands down, the winner is Queen. I saw them three times in the 80's and they were the most dynamic, exciting show I've ever seen anywhere. Van Halen were a close second and U2 third.

I saw the Beatles live twice - and that was something but not my favorite because all the screaming (1964) made it unenjoyable. But the one that blew me away was the first show Paul McCartney did in MIlwaukee on the "Back In The U.S. tour. I paid $1000 each for 4 front seat (actually 2nd row - his entourage got the first row) tickets. Took the ladies and my best friend to see him - since they never got to see the Beatles live as I did. He did a 3 hour show - now water - no breaks noting - the guy was unreal and in control and he blew the house away. It was awewome and I wont forget it. Heather ( his now ex) was 10 feet in front of me leaning on the cornerof the stage with what appeared to be a lady bodyguard who looked like one of those old Russian women who would break your arms and sneared. No cameras were permitted but flashes were going off all over the place and we got dirty looks from the cameras we snuck in. Non of the photos really came out well tho. Marty
