My father, was born in tennessee around 189, he died in december 1953, in memphis tennessee.
They tell me he had a brother who lived in michigan also.

My maternal grandfather's last name was Crockett - and he was born in Tennessee as well. In fact, I am related to Davy Crockett (he's an uncle about 6+ generations back).
Have you checked genealogy sites? How much family history or information do you have? The more you can gather, the better; as it will help you narrow things down and discard the obvious non-matches when you are doing your search.

You need to subscribe to a Genealogy site and research his name, birthday and if you have it any information on your Uncle also his Death and burial records, you can also get census records. Be prepared to do a lot of reading

When I re-read your question, I saw the name Moses Crocket. I found him in the 1900 Tennessee census. He had several siblings. He was born in Feb. 1894. I can e-mail you a copy of the census if you are comfortable giving me your e-mail address.

Do you know the names of your ancestors you can check the LDS if you have a first name and last name with dates of birth and or death. Have you tried any of the genealogy sites. Crockett is a fairly popular name in TN. Do you know where they were born that will help. Lot's of Crocketts were born in and around Macon County or Jackson County you might want to check this out. Let me know If I can help further.
Thank you for your reply about my father Moses Crockett; You came up with a date of birth of Feb, 1894 That seems about right, I had a year of 1891 from somewhere. I know he died 12/17/1953 in Memphis Tennessee. Please e mail me a copy of the census I will greathly appreciate it.
