I know that Louis Armstrong aka "satchamo" was the greatest jazz musician to ever live, but have there been another people that were famous with the name Louis Armstrong?

I don't think that there has been anyone else who is THAT famous who shares the name Louis Armstrong. I highly doubt that anyone would want to live in his shadow by taking the same name. Most famous people create or prefer to have unique names for themselves in order to stand out in a crowd. :)

No offense, but this is the kind of question that trivializes the concept behind Yedda.  No Louis Armstrong references, other than to the musician, appear in Wikipedia or the search engines---but if you're computer-literate enough to use Yedda, surely you could have spent the five minutes online it would have taken you to discover this. Your question is silly, and you are lazy.  Sorry...

Actually dauriti, I disagree that asking this question trivializes the concept behind yedda.

I understand that you believe that if something is not in Wikipedia, or Google, than it just can't be, but there is a lot of obscure information that is not readily available and sometimes quite obscure.

Now, for someone preparing a piece of content on people who share famous names, this question is not trivial.  Especially, since I would rather use Yedda (the power of the crowd) than assume Wikipedia is the end-all be-all in information, or look through endless results on Google, yahoo, or msn.

I'd say your post is more counter to the spirit of Yedda, starting off with 'no offense' and then insulting someone you don't even know by calling them 'lazy' and saying their interests are 'silly'.

No comment from me, because it says enough about you, who you are, and how you spend your time. Smile

Louis is "one" of the GREAT, "not the greatest," jazz musicians of his time.  There will NEVER be another Louis Armstrong!
btw .....  he is known as "satchelmouth"
