What would Alex Keaton of Family Ties do? The New York Times asks this question. I doubt they will publish my own comment. So I thought I would ask it here. Alex of "Family Ties" was not written in Alex's voice. It was written in his parents voice. Family Ties was as cynical as what Goldberg just wrote of the values Alex stood for. I find it amusing that Goldberg of the times feels that Alex's voice wrote Alex's voice. Alex was a puppet for the left to laugh at and to have feminine moments of love for. What made the show so annoying to people like me was it often felt like a cartoon. Did it have enduring moments? Yes Michael J Fox was a superb actor. Yes... they got my attention. So did my favorite show at the time. It was called "Sledgehammer". It portrayed a man who was in love with his gun. Sometimes I wish I had one too so I could tell the NYTimes what I really thought of they're attempt to character assassinate John McCain. But I'm not a terrorist... I don't kill people, and hence the difference between reality and FICTION! Still I think Goldberg is being very witty, even if I don't agree.
