Following freezing rain then snow in December, the mixture completely filled the wheel opening on my car between the tire and the rear opening of the right, front fender nearly touching the road surface. With the temperature dropping below zero, the accumulation became frozen ice. While driving, the ice fell from the wheel opening and struck the rocker panel and lower edge of the front passenger door causing damage. My insurance company has taken the position this falls under my collision insurance. Because the damage was caused by falling ice, I have taken the position this is a comprehensive claim. I am searching for information to substantiate my position. Any information will be appreciated.
