Is FairUse4M legitimate? Does it work, and is it legal (as far as you know)?
Microsoft needs DRM to succeed for Vista to succeed, so it's probably not exactly kosher...
It is a legal gray area. It is probably illegal under the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) to distribute a program that is intended to circumvent Microsoft's DRM. It is more questionable whether it is illegal to use such a program for your personal use. This is where the fair use doctrine and the DMCA come into conflict.
