Tell us if you, had confidence and trusted your 12 year old daughter, would you allow her on FACEBOOK today... even if you had parental controlls...?
No. Even though you trust her she is only 12. Not mature enough to foresee the consequences of participating in sites like Facebook.
Try to find other ways to have her interact socially in safe ways.
Turn off the television and teach your children how to think.

No. A twelve year old is a child. No child needs to be on Facebook or My Space.
No child needs a cell phone or a computer and a television in their bedroom, either.
Societal influences and the media are such that children now think they must have every piece of equipment on the market in order to be cool or to communicate with their friends. It is up to parents to lay down the law and say 'No.'
Children should be children. There will be plenty of time for them to be teens and adults later on.
Amen
Exactly is what I told my children to do, I guess grandparents must mind their business! I agree. Thanks!
I agree , it is for those who we gave technology to....
Thank you, for inspiring me ... I hope the young parents reflect before making choices in additiion to ...ipod xxx lirics our kids secretly carry around because they want to be cool. ipod are locked with passwords parents do not monitor? No limit in music overload? Everthing gets hidden there. Not a joke ... it is more than just a " FACEBOOK Challenge " :(
