How to get FHA Certified Appraiser Company back to business!!!

Hi,

I have a very interesting rags to happiness story. I was a rebelious teenager and I never cared much about my future. As my life went on and I had my daughter at the age of 18 I was happy but the family was just expecting things like this from me. I was never going to be more than a supervisor at C.V.S.     Well I got worse and my life became a game of russian roulette every single day. In my mid thirties I felt hopeless and I felt I was just not meant to be anyhthing. I woke up one day and decided to not take a different road I turned all the way around and jumped on a train to the world of Real Estate Appraising. I took my first class at 32 and I had not even read a book since high school and I did not read then either. I shocked myself by listenting, learning and loving this NEW and UNKNOWN career. I started feeling really good about myself. I had trained and I had become certified and began my own business. I do quality work that I feel good about signing and I get them in within 3 days (aim for 2) but they are never seen again for revisions and that is my main goal, QUALITY...  All these laws changed in June due to HVCC and I have no idea how to get back to marketing my company without paying websites for lists of AMC's. It is rediculous that the only appraisers getting work now are the cheap priced, appraisers that dont even follow the laws. I do quality work and kept my prices down and I can NOT get an order!!! Do you know why or something I can do. I put my blood sweat and tears into learning to do a complicated property, FHA Loans, REO's and many foreclosures and now I am lost. Any advise you have is welcome advise. I live in Massachusetts and I work the eastern half of MA. I have clients that will use no one but me and GREAT references. I do EVERYTHING LEGALLY and I never lie to get a job. I love this work and I cant stand that this system has punished me when I had GREAT clients...   Laurie

Reverse Mortgage Specialist

VA and FHA don't use HVCC.  My preferred Appraiser can't do any of of my FHA Appraisals anymore because he's become part of the VA roster and is too busy for FHA work.  It take a while to get on the VA roster, so stick with FHA while you're preparing for VA.  Nowadays all Reverse Mortgages are FHA, so visit all your local Reverse Mortgage shops and introduce yourself and explain how you're terrific with Senior Citizens.  Here's a link to some of the MA Reverse Lenders:
