I have hip-length, dull and unruly hair. I'm not willing to get it cut, and I don't want to spend a fortune on hair products. However, I am willing to spend a few bucks on some drugstore products. My problem is that I've been trying to get Taylor Swift's curls for a while, but all I have is a generic hair curler, a wide-tooth comb, hair spray, a regular brush, and damage control cream. I can make it wavy by making two braids when it's wet and undoing them when they're dry, but it doesn't give me dramatic curls. Any advice?
Edit: My bangs are about 4 times longer than the girl's in the video, and when I tried to curl my hair, it mostly ended up like this: a short, crimped-looking section near my ears, followed by a straight section, and then ultra-curly at the ends. A few sections were wavy, and some refused to curl no matter how much I tried. I don't think I had one result that looked like the girl's in the video, and my mom and I spent nearly an hour trying to style my hair. You see the problem with long hair =] Any other advice?
Edit #2: I think the best way to go would be to use hair rollers. Yes/no? I can't decide between Velcro rollers or magnetic rollers. What type would you recommend, and how should I use them to get the style I want?
