No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world.

I recently started taking 1 pill before I go to sleep that contains Magnesium and vitamin E. You can by it without a prescription. Within a few days, the cramps in my legs disappeared.

It's your future, be there healthy.

As a Chiropractor, when someone tells me that they are having trouble sleeping because of leg pain, my first instinct is NOT to try to cover up the symptoms with a pill, but rather to try to figure out the root cause of the problem.

At the very least, your question suggests that you might have a calcium and magnesium deficiency. From the Chiropractic perspective, you might have a low back and hip problem which is blocking the flow of blood and nerve information to your leg; this can be resolved through re-alignment and stretching.  At the most, your symptoms suggest a circulatory disorder that should be dealt with before it becomes something more serious.

Get your circulation checked, get your spine checked, and maybe even join a gym and have a personal trainer give you a program which will balance your body and loosen up your muscles.

Please don't misinterpret my response. I have Type 1 diabetes, and have the beginnings of neurothopy. After consulting with my doctor, he told me to try these pills and see if they work. So far so good. Not every problem is related to your line of work.

I don't think that everything is related to Chiropractic. I do think it is irresponsible to apply a pill that works for you to a situation that may not be at all the same for someone else.  That is the danger of any of these sites, even for someone who could diagnose a problem: we are given only the information that the person provides, which in this case is minimal.

I will always recommend to anyone on Yedda that they consult with a live person, a professional who can examine them and come to conclusions that we cannot, simply because we do not know the person, their health history and the actual physical manifestation of symptoms.

That being said, I still do not believe in throwing a pill at something when you don't understand the root cause.
