A:A high percentage of bad equipment reviews are due to the installer with the remainder of bad reviews due to the end user not maintaining the equipment properly. If I were you I would be more concerned about the qualifications of the installer rather that the brand of equipment. If you are impressed with the qualifications of the contractor that gave you the Ruud/Rheem price, ask him to give you a price with Goodman. There are just to many things to consider when installing new equipment and you as the consumer are not aware of a lot of these things until its to late. Remember, you are the one that has to live with the installation for many years, not the installer! Having installed many Goodman systems I can't really say anything bad about them. Most all air conditioning systems when matching SEER for SEER are pretty much the same. They all have their good points and not so good points. I have one installed in my house and I am happy with it.
