Exchanging art

I've heard that artists tend to exchange art works with their colleagues. I was wondering if the is any way to exchange some art works that I had previously bought, and haven't created by myself?

I do a little sculpturing and I have exchanged some art work before , but I do not think you can fin an art exchange site , it is pretty much "anti art".What you can do on the other hand is go to any art forums and look for people who would like to exchange their works.

In this manner you can direct your self to pieces you will like more , and to artists who will find the works that you have interesting.

I'm an artist and I traded a lot of art with other people around the world, most of those pieces were exchange through Flickr, either by posting in one of those groups: http://www.flickr.com/groups/27234731@N00/ http://www.flickr.com/groups/95067770@N00/ http://www.flickr.com/groups/mailart/ http://www.flickr.com/groups/arttrade-il/ http://www.flickr.com/groups/sqdeal/ There are a few other groups. But what I found to be the best way for a good trade is simply surf artist's flickr pages and seeing a piece I like, to offer a trade, most people respond very well, and about half of the pieces I wanted I manage to trade for my pieces. If you are dealing with online exchanges, it's easier to exchange smaller pieces and painting over sculpture cause of snailmail costs.
