Excessive delay processing refinance application

It has taken me over 10 months to get approval to refinance a Chase for Chase mortgage despite a near 800 credit score and very timely cooperation on my part. By taking so much time, I have effectively paid about $5000 more than I had to in higher interest charges. Do I have any recourse to seek compensation for their excessive delay in processing my application?
